Healing Trauma from the Inside Out
Part 2: Advanced Relational Integration
A 2-Day, In-Person Clinical Training for Psychotherapists & Social Workers
November 20 & 21, 2026 | Beachville, Ontario
Relationships are often where our deepest wounds surface, but they can also become powerful spaces for healing.
As clinicians, understanding trauma through the lens of the nervous system allows us to move beyond traditional talk therapy and begin addressing the physiological patterns that influence attachment, communication, emotional regulation, and relational conflict.
This advanced, experiential training is designed for psychotherapists and social workers looking to deepen their clinical skills when working with couples and relational trauma.
Integrating nervous system-informed approaches, the Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we will explore how protective responses show up within relationships and how to support clients in navigating conflict, rebuilding emotional safety, and moving through rupture and repair.
What You’ll Learn
Nervous System-Informed Relational Work: Understand how autonomic nervous system responses influence communication, attachment, emotional reactivity, and conflict within relationships.
The Gottman Method: Explore practical, evidence-informed approaches to strengthening relationships, navigating conflict, and supporting emotional connection.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): Recognize protective parts, emotional triggers, and internal dynamics that influence how individuals show up within relationships.
Rupture & Repair: Develop practical clinical strategies to help couples recognize recurring conflict cycles, take accountability, rebuild trust, and move toward meaningful repair.
Clinical Integration: Learn how to bring these approaches together through practical techniques, experiential learning, and real-world relational scenarios.
Who Is This Training For?
This training is designed for psychotherapists, registered social workers, and clinicians who want to expand their understanding of trauma-informed couples work and integrate nervous system-based interventions into their clinical practice.
